The Dialogue between the Church of the G.O.C. of Greece and the Orthodox Ecclesiastical Community of Those in Resistance
Eleventh Joint Statement
Thursday, January 3/16, 2014, the Eleventh Joint Deliberation of the Committees for Dialogue Between the Church of the G.O.C. of Greece and the Orthodox Ecclesiastical Community in Resistance took place in the Monastery of Sts. Cyprian and Justina in Phylē, Attica.
All of the appointed members of both committees were present.
a) During the Deliberation the draft of the ecclesiological document was discussed which the Church of the G.O.C. of Greece had formed according to the parameters decided upon at the previous Deliberation.
b) This document was favorably accepted by the Committee of the Orthodox Ecclesiastical Community in Resistance which pointed out certain supplemental points or reformulations. After lengthy discussion, the manner of its further development was agreed upon.
c) During the Deliberation, the Committee of the Orthodox Ecclesiastical Community in Resistance undertook the inclusion of proposals and further addressing the ecclesiological text in order to form the final draft which will take into account all of the parties involved.
The next Joint Deliberation will take place on Tuesday January 22/February 4, 2014 in the hall of church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Daphne, Athens.

Q. Are the prayers in the blue prayer book [A Prayerbook for Orthodox Christians by the Holy Transfiguration Monastery —ed.] compulsory for everyone? I mean their morning prayers and the service of Small Compline. My confessor gave me a special rule but wasn’t clear about whether this replaced the book prayers or was in addition to them.
