Two Simultaneous Homeless Programs

On November 2/15, 2007, for the first time there were two soup kitchens running simultaneously in two separate cities: Tampa, Florida and Chicago, Illinois. This is a first for our Church. Leonidas Pittos organized the youth at the Parish of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Florida and they began running a soup kitchen in Tampa. May the Lord continue to give us the strength to expand the Holy Metropolis of America's Homeless Programs!

The Cathedral in New York's Homeless Program will have its next run into the city on Tuesday evening, November 27th. They still need donations of new undewear and socks. Q. Can you please explain the significance of the forty day memorial service? An Evangelical family asked one of our relatives that question. We said that it’s best to ask a clergy member. Thank you in advance for your response. (We will forward it to them as soon as possible).
