Theophany 2010

Eight men dove in for the Cross this year. The one to reach it first was Johnny Soukas, one of NYC's Bravest, a New York City Fireman! The FDNY took it home this year, which is appropriate as it was an FDNY boat the men jumped off of.

Many thanks to the NYPD who had the scuba divers ready in case of mishap, and kept everybody safe on land and water. God bless you all!

Bartholomew Prays at Iftar

Iftar, refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is done right after sunset.
