Sunday After Theophany at St Nicholas Cathedral, Attica, Greece 2017

His Eminence, our Chief Shepherd Metropolitan Demetrius of America and His Eminence Metropolitan Moses of Toronto, served the Divine Liturgy at the cathedral of St. Nicholas in Archanon, Attika Greece for the Sunday after Theophany. Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Attika and Beotia was present but did not preside.

The Divine Liturgy was concluded with the blessing and cutting of the St. Basil cake for the parish Sunday school.

Q. Are the prayers in the blue prayer book [A Prayerbook for Orthodox Christians by the Holy Transfiguration Monastery —ed.] compulsory for everyone? I mean their morning prayers and the service of Small Compline. My confessor gave me a special rule but wasn’t clear about whether this replaced the book prayers or was in addition to them.
