This Sermon was given at the location of Emmaus to the faithful on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land that was led by Metropolitan Demetrius. The Sermon was given after the appointed Gospel for Emmaus (Gospel of St. Luke 24: 12-35) on October 26, 2018. Emmaus is in the Region of Judea.

Why do we Call Angels “Saint”?

Q. I noticed that we call the angels Michael and Gabriel "Saint." I thought the title "Saint" was only given to humans who have proven themselves Godly. Do you mind clarifying this for me? Is there a deeper meaning to "Saint" that I am not aware of?
